How It Started

My introduction to Lovebrain Cognitive Performance Training (and this Lovebrain Cognitive Performance Training review) happened in a simple, unexpected way. I saw an advert on social media promoting a free cognitive performance masterclass in London.

Out of curiosity, I checked the dates and noticed it fell on my day off from work. That felt like a small but meaningful nudge. I had nothing to lose, and learning about the brain genuinely interested me, so I decided to attend.

The Lovebrain Masterclass Experience

From the start, I felt impressed by the hosts. They showed calm confidence, high energy, and grounding presence. Most importantly, their kindness created a safe and open environment.

The session explained how the brain works, how memory forms, and why we often forget information. Everything stayed clear and easy to follow, without heavy technical language.

I remembered only about 2–3 words. The highest score in the group was around 4–5 words. This highlighted how limited natural memory performance is without training.

After the test, two Lovebrain graduates stepped forward to demonstrate what trained memory can look like in practice.

The audience was asked to call out random words, with one word coming from each person who put their hand up. I can’t remember now whether it was twenty or thirty words in total, but what I do remember clearly is that the graduates recalled every single one. There were no recordings, no headphones, and no visual aids – just their memory.

They were then asked to repeat all the words backwards, without making a single mistake. To take it even further, people began calling out random positions – word number five, word number eleven, and so on -and again, each word was recalled accurately.

The contrast between our earlier test and this demonstration made the concept of cognitive training feel very real.

We started with speed reading. Before the training, we had to choose a book. They advised us to avoid books with too many images or technical language. A simple, text-based book worked best. I’ve chosen The Catcher in the Rye. We began by measuring how many words per minute we could read. This gave us a clear starting point. My reading speed nearly tripled.

Beyond speed, there was also a focus on how to approach reading. Before starting, we were encouraged to ask simple questions – why am I reading this, and what do I want to take from it? Another part of the training focused on improving attention and mental clarity. For this, we used a new method introduced by Lovebrain as a tool for focus and emotional reset.

At first, it sounded complex. In practice, it was surprisingly simple.

The core focus technique used by Lovebrain combines controlled breathing with visualisation and awareness. The breathing pattern follows a structure: a short inhale, a deeper inhale, and a long, slow exhale. Repeated over time, it created a noticeable sense of calm.

What stood out was how fast the body responded. Slowing the breath seemed to slow everything else: thoughts, tension, and distractions.

We also used simple visualisation techniques, like focusing on colours. This helped shift attention away from noise and into a more focused state. There was an emotional layer, too. We were guided to notice internal tension and replace it with a more positive state, often through simple gratitude. Nothing complicated, but effective when done properly.

One moment really stayed with me. While practising, it felt like only around 2 minutes had passed. In reality, a single session lasted way over 20 minutes. That surprised pretty much everyone because it didn’t feel that long at all.

The method is based on neuroscience – how breathing affects the nervous system, how brain states shift, and how emotions impact focus. But during the session, it didn’t feel technical or like a “hack.” It felt practical, like something you could actually use in daily life – before work, during stress, or when you need to reset your focus. We were also given a shorter track to use instead, in case we do not have the spare 20 minutes. The effect was strong. After each practice, I felt genuinely relaxed.

Simple in concept, but not always easy to maintain. And that’s probably the point.

Memory – Lovebrain Cognitive Performance Training review

Memory was the main reason I signed up for the Lovebrain Cognitive Performance Training.

After seeing trained brains in action during the masterclass in London, I was genuinely impressed. Although it didn’t feel like a trick, part of me still questioned how it worked. At the same time, it felt like a real skill – and if it was learnable, I wanted to learn it.

During the training, we were introduced to a method called IWAVE. I won’t go into the exact technique, but it focuses on turning information into something more visual and easier to connect. What matters most is the result.

After applying the method, I was able to memorise the first 50 digits of pi (3.14…). Even now, almost three years later, I can still recall it. Memorising 20 random words also stopped being a challenge. What once felt almost impossible during the masterclass became manageable. In fact, every person attending the course with me in June 2023 was able to achieve the same result after applying the method.

I must admit, although I could remember all the words, recalling them backwards took a bit more time. Trying to recall them by specific numbers, as they demonstrated during the masterclass, was even more challenging. I think I still need some more practice with that part.

A Familiar Approach

The idea is not to force memory, but to work with how the brain naturally remembers. It was interesting to notice those similarities, especially as both approaches aim to make memory feel more intuitive rather than effortful. After the 4-day training, the programme moves into a 30-day integration phase. This stage feels less intense, but in some ways more important, because it shifts the focus from learning techniques to actually using them in everyday life.

Instead of introducing new material, this phase pushes you to apply what you’ve already learned. You bring the methods into your daily routine and test how they work outside the training environment. The goal is simple: turn structured exercises into something more natural and consistent.

You also join live Zoom sessions, where you can revisit the content, ask questions, and hear how others are progressing. These sessions help maintain a connection with the programme once the initial training ends.

Alongside this, the student app supports the process. It provides exercises, reminders, and additional resources that help you stay engaged. It also helps with accountability, especially when motivation naturally fluctuates after the intensive phase.

Regular check-ins add another layer of structure and help you track your progress over time.

Overall, this month focuses less on learning something new and more on embedding the skills into daily behaviour. Instead of treating the techniques as something separate from normal life, the programme encourages you to integrate them into how you think, focus, and process information on a day-to-day basis. Final Reflection – Lovebrain Cognitive Performance Training review

Does Lovebrain Cognitive Performance Training actually deliver on its promises, and can real change happen in such a short time?

Based on my experience, the training does deliver noticeable short-term improvements in specific areas like focus, reading speed, and memory techniques.

During the 4-day programme, I saw measurable changes. My reading speed nearly tripled, and across the group, everyone improved to some degree. What stood out most was that the results weren’t isolated. Most participants showed clear gains in speed reading, and many doubled or nearly tripled their performance.

The memory training also produced tangible outcomes. After learning the method, I was able to memorise the first 20 digits of pi, and I can still recall them years later. Memorising 20 random words also became achievable, something that had felt almost impossible during the masterclass. Personally, I think the programme can be worth it, but only if you can comfortably afford it. I wouldn’t recommend going into debt just to take part. The benefits are real, but they don’t outweigh financial stress.
